National Club Draw
Final call for tickets for the National Club Draw. Well done to everyone who has sold their tickets and returned the proceeds. As all sales must be recorded on the central system by Saturday, we need all tickets and proceeds back to Dominic Morgan, Club Treasurer or your Mentor/Coach by tomorrow evening.
Scoil keeps ALL the money from our ticket sales so every ticket sold counts, even in the last 24 hours.
Please contact John Coady 087 2483182 or Dominic Morgan 087 6579300 for any last minute queries.
Go raibh maith agat.
End of Season Party
The End of Season party takes place on Saturday 31st January in Clontarf Castle.
This is always a great night with lots of good food, dancing and award presentations.
Due to demand for tickets they are just about sold out which is great news!
County Board Delegates
Club member Larry McVeigh has recently retired as the adult Hurling Board Delegate. Larry has been ‘in the service’ of the County Board for over 40 years and as well as Board Delegate has undertaken a range of roles including Treasurer. Larry’s role and fantastic service was acknowledged at the County Board meeting on Tuesday night.
As a result, we are now looking for a delegate to the Adult Hurling Board with meetings averaging one per month. Please contact Declan Hoban, Club chairman if you are interested / available to take on this role.
There are also vacancies for Board Delegate to the Juvenile Boys Boards known as CCC1 and CCC2. Again, meetings take place roughly once a month in Parnell Park. If you are willing / interested in taking on one of these roles please contact Ronan Murphy.
Helping hands – Juveniles
The new combined training session for Under 8 to Under 11 children continued on Saturday with a hurling session. (Games are due to start next month.) 70 young players took part on Saturday and also trained on Tuesday evening in the Club.
After the warm up, eight stations (with different skills) are in place for the boys and girls to learn the skills of the game in our safe enclosed grounds coached by some excellent people who have played at the highest level. The coaches can always use some assistance so if you are a current player (hurling or football), played the game previously or coached teams in the past, please come along and help pass on your knowledge to our future stars. One hour a week would be greatly appreciated. Please support your club.
Update from Ronan Murphy, Juvenile Boys co-ordinator on Saturday morning
Great enthusiasm @Scoil Ui Chonaill hurling training on a cool morning at Scoil Ui Chonaill. Special thanks to our guest coachesIt’s great to have our own enclosed grounds as many clubs in the area who use public parks had to postpone training. U8 – U11 training continues on Tuesday & Wednesday evening.
Special mention also for the members of the Club Shop rota who are in the Club every Saturday between 10am and 12 noon. It has been particularly cold in the past two weeks but they are always ready and willing to look after their customers!

St Annes Park Roses Charity sale event
Have you ever walked through St Annes and admired the Rose Garden? The gardeners are currently digging out the rose bushes and Loretto Rock has approached Dublin City Council to gather them on behalf of the Laura Lynn House charity. This is a unique opportunity to have a little bit of history in your garden from the famous Rose Garden in St Annes. Loretto will be in the Club on Saturday morning with her supply of Roses and is asking for a donation in return.
