A great result for the club on Sunday as our Adult hurlers secured promotion to Division 3 with a win over Clontarf in the final. This is in addition to the promotion already achieved in the hurling championship – lots to look forward to in 2016. Well done to the Players and Management for a fantastic year with great commitment and dedication. Thanks also to the great support on the sideline from Members and friends for the team. Plenty of celebrations after the game too as the playing season finally came to an end after a long but successful year. Hard luck to the Under 15 Girls who lost out in the Division 1 Shield Final after extra time in their game. All the management and parents were extremely proud of the girls for their performance.
Great engagement and attendance at the Club AGM last Thursday evening in the Clubhouse. Plenty of work for the incoming Executive to pick up for the coming twelve months. Club shop open on Saturday morning between 10am and 12 noon for all your GAA gear, including replica jerseys, knicks, socks and more. A big thank you to everyone who supported our annual St Vincent de Paul fundraisers last Saturday including a ‘Sausage Sizzle’ and Coffee morning in the Club. All proceeds are donated to this worthy cause on behalf of our Members. We will have a special visitor in the Club on Saturday 12th December as Santa drops in to meet our younger members and their families. All are welcome to meet our special visitor! You can keep up with all club news on our website www.scoilgaa.com or find us on Facebook and Twitter.
