The master fixture plan for the year ahead for all Adult Games has been published by the Dublin County Board – if you’re planning to play or support any adult Dublin or Club team in 2016 you need this detailed spreadsheet! You can find the plan at: http://www.dublingaa.ie/news/confirmed-club-inter-county-fixtures-2016

Juvenile training
Plenty of action again in Clontarf on Saturday morning as teams work on their pre season drills and training.  Great excitement for the Under 9s as Charlie celebrated his birthday.

While the weather was reasonably good, it’s always great to have the Clubhouse so close to the training areas so the adults can pop in from a hot drink.  Everyone is welcome to drop by every Saturday from 10 am.

Under 13 Girls
Girls resumed training last Tuesday. Eighteen eager girls ran from the club to the Sheds and back then did drills at different stations. Paul Keane gave them a pep talk telling the they were now ready to ensure they had their own gear ready and that they shouldn’t eat before training or games. We are also keen that the girls are not given sports drinks as they are full of sugar. With exercise and other training now commencing we look forward to a great season ahead (Niamh)

Dates for your diary!

  • The SAM Maguire along with the Ladies All Ireland Club (Donaghmoyne & Joanne Courtney) trophies will be visiting the Club on Saturday 12th March.
  • Easter Camps will be taking place – more details of date and times to follow

Unwanted Gifts Initiative
Now that all the Christmas decorations have been put away for another 10/11 months you may have discovered some gifts that you don’t need / want hiding under the tree.  If that is the case we would welcome them in Scoil Uí Chonaill.  The Nursery section are gathering up any unwanted Christmas gifts from Members / friends which can be dropped into the Clubhouse for use as a unique fund raising activity for their activities.  All kinds of everything are welcome!

Notice:
On behalf of Club members we extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Anna Kenna who died earlier this month, especially to her son  Barry.  Barry played with the Club at all levels and also represented Dublin during his career.

We also extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Patsy Keane recently deceased especially to his brother Eddie and his family.

Looking forward to a great night on Saturday in Clontarf Castle!

Congratulations to Hannah Leahy who is on the Dublin Ladies Under 16 Football Panel for 2016
