Hard luck to the Minor hurlers who lost out to a strong Erins Isle team on Sunday

Adult games

It was a case of ‘win or learn’ for the minor hurlers who lost out in their Championship Final on Sunday despite a brave and battling performance to the final whistle. Goals from Eoin Barron, Conor Barnes and Ted Walsh were among the highlights of the team performances along with strong defending from Sam Callan and Conor Farrelly.  The consistent trio of Eoghan McKay, Robert Kennedy and Daragh Levins also played their part while Odhran O’Sullivan made a strong impact in the 2nd half. Plenty of positives for the lads to build on as they continue at minor level in 2017.  Well done to all the players, management and parents for their commitment and work throughout the year.  The lads enjoyed pizza back in the Clubhouse after the game while the parents welcomed the tea/coffee and the words of captain Robert Kennedy.

Juveniles

  • Training is continuing for a few more weeks so keep active and get moving!

  • There was a historic moment in the Club on Sunday last as the Club’s first Juvenile camogie training session took place – congrats to Aidan Mulligan and Club GPO Thomas for organising training for the girls.

  • Nursery Table Quiz this Friday at 8pm.

Many questions remain unanswered at Scoil Nursery????

GRMA Jonny!

Annual General Meeting – 24 November 2016

The 2016 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in the clubhouse on Thursday 24 November at 8.30pm.  All adult members are encouraged to attend.

Note to All Club Members from Declan Hoban, Club Chairman

The date for receipt of nominations for Club Officers and Executive Committee positions has now passed.  In advance of the AGM I feel I should let you know that no nominations were received for the positions of Chairman or Vice Chairman.  As announced at the 2015 AGM, this year represents my 5th year as Chairman bringing me to the maximum term allowed under the Club Constitution.

Under Section 8.6 of the Club Constitution it will now be a matter for the  incoming Executive Committee to appoint a Chairman and Vice Chairman.  While this is the case, I consider that it would be helpful to the incoming  Executive Committee if anyone prepared to serve would indicate this either in advance of the AGM or at the AGM. Please contact myself or any member of the Executive if you would like to discuss the role.  Our contact details are available here.
