A great turnout at the AGM last Thursday night with a very good in-depth review of activity over the past 12 months. Plans and activities for the year ahead were also discussed with a programme of challenging activity lined up for 2017. Best wishes to the incoming Executive and thanks to those who served the Club for all their work. Brilliant response to our St Vincent de Paul fundraiser on Saturday morning with lots of tasty sausages cooked on the BBQ. Thanks to all members and our visitors from Beann Eadair who supported the event. The Dressing Room / Gym upgrade is well underway with construction work progressing in the Club grounds. Great to see the internal work in progress now as we move towards the conclusion of the project. Our ‘GAA for Mothers & Others’ continues on Wednesday with training between 7-8pm in the Club. Fantastic night at the Nursery section Table Quiz with some very interesting questions and plenty of musical fun. Our special night to mark and celebrate our 1986 Senior Football Championship wins with former and current players was also a great success. We were delighted to welcome Deirdre and Louise Hempenstall to the Club for a special presentation. Our volunteer appreciation night takes place next Saturday 3 December and all mentors and ‘workers’ are very welcome. Keep Saturday 10 December free for the visit of a very special Guest to meet our young members!
