Saturday 23rd April is the BIG PARTY Night in Scoil Ui Chonaill to celebrate the Relaunch of the newly revamped Bar & Clubhouse with music craic & the launch of Strictly Scoil Dancing 2016! Don’t miss out, put that date in your diary – April 23rd 8.30 to late – admission FREE
Guaranteed to be a great night for all.
Over the next few weeks work will be carried out to revamp the Bar & Clubhouse, we will try our best to keep inconvenience to a minimum but please be patient & work with us to help create a nice place for all members friends & family to enjoy. It will be necessary to limit access to the Clubhouse over a few days from Thursday 21 April to 8pm on Saturday 23 April.
As we have set a very tight timescale we may call on some of you for assistance during the process. If you have any queries don’t hesitate to give one of us a shout
Help requested – Sat 9 April
The committee are looking for help on Saturday next 9 April between 12noon & 2 30on to do a big clear out. You might also like to come down if you have any lost belongings as there is a huge amount in the club which we hope to go through. Where no home is found for the lost property, it will be given to charity, GRMA
Team Photos
As part of the revamp we are looking for photos of any team who would like their photo put up in the Clubhouse. All under age mentors might ensure they get parental approval for the photos to go up on the walls of the Clubhouse. Photos can be given to Joan. Thank you!

Adult games
No luck for the first team in their game v O’Tooles on Saturday evening.
A good win for the second team on their trip to Clondalkin on Sunday morning to make it three wins from three in the league.
The third team’s game did not go ahead but there was a very useful workout in Clontarf for the players.
Back to hurling league action next weekend for the men and the first Saturday evening games for the top divisions. Support for these games would be greatly appreciated.
Juveniles
Under 14 Girls Féile na Gael
Well done to all the girls who took part in Féile last Saturday. The games took place in Naomh Mearnóg in some pretty miserable conditions on Saturday from 10am. A win in the first game was well deserved but the girls lost out in the next two despite some excellent team performances. The girls lost out on a semi final spot on scoring difference but enjoyed taking part in this unique and special tournament. Well done to all the players, management and supporters.
Nursery update – Do a child a favour – Introduce them to Scoil Ui Chonaill nursery
Just over a year ago, we set ourselves the objective of becoming one of the best GAA nurseries in Dublin. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of Joanne and our volunteers, we are well on the way to achieving this aim.
Our next goal is to increase the number of players in the nursery. If you know of any parents that would like to incorporate more exercise into their childrens’ lives in a fun way, please tell them about Scoil Ui Chonaill. Whether it’s a relative, friend or classmate, they’ll get a warm welcome in the nursery.
Strictly Come Dancing!!!
We’re launching our big fun event on Saturday 23 April to coincide with the Clubhouse re-opening. The coordinators are holding weekly meetings in the clubhouse on Thursdays from 8.45 – 9.45. We would encourage anybody to attend, even if it is just out of curiosity!
One of the key decisions will be the selection of dancers so anybody who fancies themselves (or wants free dancing lessons!) or has suggestions get in touch ASAP. Please don’t wait to be asked – this is the one to ‘step up’ and volunteer for. Thanks to everyone who has gotten involved / offered to take part. All ideas welcome!

Dublin
Unfortunately, the Dublin hurlers lost out against Limerick in Parnell Park on Saturday evening and will now move on the Leinster championship. The Ladies were also beaten in their game at the weekend losing out by the narrowest margin to Armagh. Another good win for the footballers on their trip to play Roscommon in the last league game of 2016. We now have a semi final to look forward to in Croke Park on Sunday at 4pm
Best wishes to Hannah Leahy and the Dublin Under 16s team in their game next Sunday
