Club Notes 24 May 2016

By scoilpro Tue 24th May

A busy few days of hurling fixtures for the first team with a narrow loss to the league leaders on Wednesday evening and a comprehensive win in the game on Sunday morning.

The second team lost out in their game and best wishes to Micheál who broke his collar bone in the game.

There are football league games this week starting with game away to Liffey Gaels this evening for the second team.

On Wednesday, the seniors play Naomh Mearnóg at 7.30pm in Portmarnock and on Thursday there’s a home game at 7.30pm for the Juniors.

Adult football league fixtures on 28/29 May also. Support very welcome for all games.

Lots of juvenile hurling fixtures last weekend with some great performances and team wins.

Training continues every Tuesday and Wednesday for our Under 8-12 teams.

We are hosting a special Mini Football Fun Mini Blitz next Saturday 28 May between 10am and 12 noon. Boys and girls, aged 4-7 years are invited to take part and get to know more about GAA games. We will also have a special welcome for parents with Tea, Coffee & Cakes available pitch side (or in the Clubhouse overlooking the event) weather permitting.

The dance training continues for our big ‘Strictly Scoil Dancing’ event in the RDS on Friday 17 June.  Our dancers have been matched with their special team supporters and they will be getting to know each other over the next few weeks.  We have all the information about ‘Strictly Scoil Dancing’ on the special section of our website www.scoilgaa.com/strictly-scoil/ with lots of photos, sponsorship details and our excellent weekly blog.

Well done to the Dublin Senior hurlers on their win v Wexford on Saturday in a miserable Croke Park.
