Bus / ticket / pizza event in the Club! (details below)
Strictly Come Dancing!
We had our final Strictly Scoil event – the ‘Replay night’ in the Clubhouse on Saturday evening. Another very enjoyable night as the large crowd got to watch the replay of the event including the dances and the videos which were great fun along with a slideshow of the photos. There was also a copy of the special commemoration DVD for the Dancers and…. everyone in the audience! There are some copies remaining so if you would like a souvenir of the event drop into the Clubhouse on Thursday evenings to pick up a DVD. Special mention to Sean Lee for his refreshment contribution on the night! Special praise also for Paraic Naughton one of our dancers and players who has taken on the role of Bar Manager and who looked after the event on Saturday evening.
A final ‘Go raibh maith agat’ to everyone who supported the event and / or played any part in the organisation of this wonderful #StrictlyScoil experience.
Adult games
The adult footballers had another great win in their league fixture v Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday evening. A super second half performance from the lads ensured a convincing win which also moves the team into second place in the Division 2 league on points difference. The younger players who are maturing well into the team made a big contribution on Saturday with Conor Dixon scoring 1-4 and Alistair Cassidy 1-1. Great to see Killian Linnane back on the field too after his recent injury. Next up is a league game v Clontarf on Saturday 20 August in St Annes.
The second team had a very close game on Sunday morning and were unlucky to lose out by a goal.
No game tonight for the Ladies as there fixture was deferred due to Dublin fixtures.
Support for all games is greatly appreciated by the players and management.

Under 16 Ladies
Hard luck to Hannah Leahy and the Dublin Under 16s who lost out to a very strong Kerry team in the All Ireland Final this evening in Nenagh.
Minor Ladies
Best of luck to our Ladies football team coach Jonathan Rock who is part of the management team for the Dublin Minors who play Cork in the All Ireland final on Bank Holiday Monday in Pearse Park Longford. The game will be televised live on TG4.
Under 17 Hurling Team
Well done to Club Minors Eoghan McKay and Robert Kennedy who were on the Dublin team that earned their International Caps this week! They played Scotland in a game of Shinty in Parnell Park last night. Dublin were narrowly beaten by 17 to 14 in the game. The scoring system works on the basis of 3 points for a goal, 1 for a point and 2 for a sideline conversion. Well done lads.
