Great to have some silverware following the Intermediate Championship win on Sunday

Adult games

Delighted to report that we had a great win in the Intermediate B Football Championship final v Garda last Sunday.  A report on the game was published in last night’s Herald and you can read it here.

It was a lovely day for a game and the team and supporters got a great welcome from our hosts St Margaret’s. There was great support on the sideline with one special member in attendance, Peter Morley.  Everyone was delighted to see Peter at the game and he especially enjoyed captain Eoghan O’Connell’s speech with the dedication of the win in his honour.  The long season ended on a positive note and well done to the players and management for their dedication and commitment throughout the year.

The minor hurlers have qualified for the final of the C Hurling Championship v Erins Isle.  The game takes place next Sunday at 11am in St David’s School and all support would be appreciated.

Support for all games is greatly appreciated by the players and management.

Many questions remain unanswered at Scoil Nursery

Can you assist with our enquiries?  If so, come to the legendary, fun filled, table quiz on Friday 18  November in the clubhouse from 20:00.

On a general note, training continues every Saturday for teams who have completed their league programme.

Under 9s

Great morning’s craic down at Scoil for U9’s last Football match of the season v Finbarrs! Fantastic performance by all the kids, especially the Girls on Team Jp. Myself & Liam Ryan are extremely proud of these young ladies and their efforts over the last 2-3 seasons. Despite taking knock after knock they just keep on going – “TOUGH AS TEAK” ALWAYS (Caterina/Sophie/Aoileann/Ella/Sadbhb/Eabha take a bow) & deservedly won the game. Delighted to see Rafael down today and look forward to his return. Big full season ahead for Ronan, Conor & Finn also.

Team Liam were at their imperious best as they swept aside Finbarrs – so x2 wins always nice way to finish off the season & made all the sweeter with goodies bag and Sam’s visit!!   FYI – Wednesday Training (7pm) will continue for next couple of weeks.  (JP)
