What a weekend for Scoil members! The newly renovated Clubhouse re-opened on Saturday evening and there was a fantastic reaction from the members to the improvements. Special mention for the Clubhouse team and their helpers for all their work in achieving a great result. The re-opening was preceded by the Intermediate hurling championship game which ended in a draw. Then later on Saturday evening we held the ‘Strictly Scoil Dancing’ launch night. The Clubhouse was packed for the event and the dancers received a warm welcome from the big crowd. Again, fantastic work so far from the ‘Strictly’ team for all their wonderful organization. Special mention to MC Ciaran Bauer and the dancers who will be taking part in the big event on the 17 June in the RDS. (more information to follow over the next few weeks.)
Sunday started well with a win in the Junior Championship and finished on a high note as we saw the Club flag and jersey on the pitch for the Laochra commemoration event. Well done to Aideen and Ronan who were our Club representatives in Croke Park. There was also the excellent Dublin football performance in between to deliver four league wins in a row. Comhghairdeas.
On top of all that, our Juvenile games and nursery went ahead on Saturday morning and thanks to the fine weather we had our goodies / coffee shop ‘al fresco’.
Excellent win for the Ladies last week and a league game to look forward to on Wednesday.
Football championship fixtures for men this week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, starting tonight (26 April). Support very welcome for these games.
Training continues every Tuesday and Wednesday for our juvenile Under 8-12 teams. Comhghairdeas to all in Scoil Neasáin and Belgrove who celebrated An Chéad Chomaoineach last Saturday.
