Club Notes, 19th October 2015

  • Fantastic news and delighted to report that the Under 16s are County Hurling Champions following their win in the B Final in O’Toole Park on Saturday afternoon v Ballinteer, St John’s.  Well done to all the Players, their families, our supporters and especially the management team.
  • Congratulations also to Team Captain Daragh Levins who was selected as Man of the Match by the Dublin County Board.  The post match celebrations took place in Clanna Gael and in Scoil on Saturday evening.  
  • Also on Saturday the Seniors won their division 2 league game away to St. Patrick’s, Palmerston.
  • Then on Sunday, the juniors had a big win in their  Division 8 league game in Clontarf.  
  • There was lots of activity in the Club on Saturday morning as the Under 8s and Under 9s were both playing at 10am along with the Nursery activities which were in full swing.  
  • The hurling back match in the Division 4 league scheduled for Thursday 22nd away to Lucan Sarsfields is now OFF due to a bereavement in Lucan.  
  • Then on Sunday 25th we play Moorefield, Kildare in the Leinster Hurling Championship – details to be confirmed. Support very welcome for all games! 
  • GAA Halloween Camp for 4-12 year olds takes place in the Club from Wed 28th-Fri 30th Oct, starting at 10am.  Full details are available on the website and from Team Mentors as well as our Club GPO Joanne Courtney.  
  • Training continues every Monday and Thursday for adults and Tuesday and Wednesday for Under 8s to 12 in Clontarf Road, 7-8pm.
  • Club shop open on Saturday morning between 10am and 12 noon for all your GAA gear.  
  • Best wishes to Club stalwart Niamh Crowe who is recovering from recent surgery – we hope to see her back on the sidelines again soon.
