Adult games
The Adult ladies were due to play their second cup fixture tonight (Wednesday) but the game has been deferred for a few weeks. Next up is the first league game of 2015 v St Judes on 15th April in Tymon North.
After a break for the Easter weekend, there are adult football league games next Sat / Sunday with the three teams playing away from home. Support would be very welcome for any games.
Juveniles
Nursery continues every Saturday in the Club with games and activities from 10am.
New members are always welcome!
Feile 2015!
Boys and Girls teams are participating in the 2015 Feile competitions in April and May. As always, the teams are working hard in advance of this unique competition and have also been organizing their ‘kit’. Both teams are also in fundraising mode to raise enough to cover the cost of their new kit as well as to cover the expenses involved over the weekend of the competition.
The Girls have undertaken ‘bag packing’ in Nolans and raised over €1,000 which they are supplementing with a Sausage Sizzle on Sat 18th April. The Boys are focusing their fund raising efforts with lots of activities on Sat 25th April including a Sausage Sizzle, Bake Sale/Coffee Morning and other fun activities. Your support would be greatly appreciated for these events.
Easter Camp
The 2015 Easter Camp was very successful with all participants kept busy throughout the four days. The camp concluded with an Easter Egg hunt on Thursday which was enjoyed by all. Dates for the Summer Camps will be circulated shortly!
Coaching Courses
The next ‘Coaching the Coaches’ course is with Paudie Butler, a great ambassador for hurling, and is open to all mentors, coaches and players. Details are as follows:
Hurling: Friday 17th April, 7-9pm with Paudie Butler, Former National Hurling Co-ordinator.
Contact: Joanne Courtney our Club GPO at 087 9146748 or by email at joanne.courtney.gpo.dublin@gaa.ie to book your place.
Club Lotto
The new Club Lotto fundraiser is now being launched and the first draw will take place in mid May with a guaranteed jackpot of €500. Entry is €2 and lotto envelopes are available in the Clubhouse. Every little helps!
Dublin
Looking forward to the AFL semi final game v Monaghan in Croke Park on Sunday. Due to the short timeframe set by the GAA for Club orders and Easter Holidays we will not be submitting a ticket request. Tickets are available from www.tickets.ie and from Centra and Supervalu. Let’s hope Dublin reach the Final.
Dublin Ladies travel to Cork this weekend for a must win game if they are to reach the play off stages.
Helping Hands
Our annual clean up day took place on Good Friday, 3rd April. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who supported the event, especially the ‘Outdoor team’ on what was a pretty cold morning! Lots of jobs done but of course there will always be more to do.
