National Club Draw
A fantastic response, once again, from Members, families and friends to the GAA National Club Draw. We have reached €10,000 in ticket sales which is a brilliant achievement for a Club our size. The incentives for team’s to sell tickets were well received and every ticket sold means €10 for the Club coffers. Special mention for Dominic who has to input the details of each sale on to the specially designed GAA spreadsheets which must be completed for audit purposes.
Go raibh maith agat.
End of Season Party
The End of Season party takes place on Saturday in Clontarf Castle.
This is always a great night with lots of good food, dancing and award presentations.
Tickets for the event are fully booked and please ensure that you pay any outstanding monies to Declan on Thursday evening as there is a waiting list.
As well as Club Person of the Year presentations, there will also be medal presentations and team awards. Full details will be included in next week’s update!
Juveniles
Under 8s-11s
Juvenile training is continuing for Under 8-11s every Tuesday, Wednesday (both 7-8pm) and Saturday (9.45am-11.30). Great response to the introduction of skills based ‘stations’ which ensure that there is no one standing around and the focus on co-ordination/development is working well. Great feedback on this initiative from players and parents!
It was great to welcome a special visitor to the Club for training tonight. Charlie Neligan, Kerry Legend and winner of 7 All Irelands and long time coach in the GAA was in the Club to check out the training and offer his advice. Well done to all the 60 children who took part in training this evening as it was a particularly cold one!
Nursery
The Nursery team are in action every Saturday morning from 10am as they welcome the youngest members to our enclosed facilities in Clontarf. Joanne and her team have a great crew and always look forward to welcoming new children to join the Naoinra / Nursery. The focus is on co-ordination skills and fun – new members are welcome.
Under 14s
The team are training well under new manager Killian O’Connell and have enjoyed trying out new activities, including boxing which is great for developing skills and a fun session as well. They will be playing every Saturday afternoon and are looking forward to the start of the new season.

St Annes Park Roses Charity sale event
A big thank you from Loretto Rock to everyone who supported the Roses Charity event on Saturday last on behalf of the Laura Lynn House charity. Lots of members took the opportunity to purchase a little bit of history for their garden from the famous Rose Garden in St Annes. The total raised is €255 which will now be donated to the Laura Lynn House charity. Go raibh maith agat.
Well done to St Paul’s (Dara Reddy, Daragh McGrath & Eoin Murphy) who won their Dublin GAA Senior Colleges semi final last Friday afternoon and hard luck to O’Connells’ and Colaiste Reachrainn who lost out in theirs.
Comhghairdeas also to Dara MacDomhnall on his win in the Press Photography awards last week.
Best wishes to some of our adult players who are taking part in GAA Colleges competitions.
