Club AGM
The Club AGM is scheduled for tomorrow Thursday 27th November in the Clubhouse at 8pm. All members are invited to attend. This is the most important ‘off the field’ event of the year for the Club.
Why not come forward and take on a role in the Club or volunteer for a specific task. Volunteers are always welcome.
Adult Games
It was great to get messages of congratulations and good wishes from club members and friends both at home and abroad on the football promotion play off win. We’ve had lots of messages through Facebook, Twitter and email which are much appreciated.
Juvenile Games
Nursery
The Nursery / Naoinra continues every Saturday in Clontarf at 10am with lots of fun, games and skills development for all taking part. Despite the awful conditions last week, the juveniles trained at the hurling wall on the all weather surface on Saturday morning. Well done to the coaches and their assistants. (Plenty of ‘post quiz’ analysis too!)
Under 8/9 Blitz
The Under 8s and 9s will be playing a football blitz in the Club on Saturday morning 9.30am to 11am. The mentors are working on their plans for 2015 and this is nice way to finish off the playing season for everyone involved; players, parents and coaches.
Table Quiz
The Table Quiz was a great success on Friday evening with a full house in the Club to enjoy the event. Well done to Fiona Reilly who set the questions (some interesting ones!) and to Fiona and Brian Fahey who organised the event including the prizes / sponsorship. Over €950 was raised on the night from the entry fees and raffle. A big thank you to all the sponsors and special mention for Sean Leahy and Hilton Foods who provided the huge ‘Meat Hampers’ which were the first prize in the Quiz. Thanks also from the organisers to Tony, Brendan and Kieran who were on bar duty, to Joanne and Conor who helped with the collection of answer sheets and to the Quiz Master Richie Egan. All proceeds raised will support the activity in the Nursery – go raibh maith agat.

Special message from Br Madigan, O’Connells’ School
To Niamh and everyone associated with football win on Sunday..panel, coaches, mentors etc etc…heartiest congratulation! Maith sibh..well done to the poet, Niamh Crowe also.
Greetings from Edmund Rice House, N. Richmond Street. The community of Brothers here is very happy to be associated with Scoil Ui Chonaill and remember you in the Masses and Community prayer each day.
A past pupil of mine ,Denis O’Reilly, is running a very good website…I recommend the website to all officials and players of the club…….
Each day he has a thought for the day….a help towards mindfulness…the thought is connected in some way to the spirit of Blessed Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian Brothers and Presentation Brothers and O’Connell schools. I find it helpful and, you, in your busy schedule, may like to take a minute to yourself each day.
The group is called Timiri Eamainn Ris.
The website is www.timiri.org
You may like to email Denis O’Reilly timirier@gmail.org.
Le gach dea-ghui
