  • Facilities improvement works in progress

Adult games

The adult hurlers travelled to Tymon North on Saturday and came away with full points in this important Division 4 league game.  In control of the game from early on, it was a decisive victory with Faughs scoring their goal at the final whistle.  This keeps the team in the hunt for a promotion play off place with all to play for in the next game which is at home to Lucan Sarsfields on Sunday 28th @ 10.30am

The minor footballers lost out to a very strong Ballinteer St Johns team in their opening league game of the championship.  Next Sunday it’s a hurling championship with a trip to Rush to play St Maurs at 10.30am.

Also on Sunday, the Juniors travel to Oldtown to play table topping Wild Geese in the Division 8 League.  The Intermediates have a weekend off due to championship fixtures.

Support as always is very welcome!

Juvenile Games

Well done to the Under 14 Girls who have been invited to participate in the All Ireland Under 14s  7s in Kilmacud Crokes to coincide with the Ladies football weekend.  This is a well deserved invite to the Under 14s for their consistent performances at Division 1 level in league and championship.  Best wishes to all involved!

Juvenile Boys meeting takes place in the Club on Thursday evening at 8.15pm

Transition Year (TY)

As always, Members (Boys and Girls) who are taking part in the Gaisce programme are welcome to register as a juvenile coach and help out in the Nursery on Saturday morning or Wednesday evening.  Contact Joanne at  087 9146748 to set up the arrangement and she will sign off on the documentation required each week.

Mini All Ireland Football tournament

Club Shop

The Club Shop is open every Saturday morning thanks to the volunteers on the roster.  Due to the recent departure of Carol on official overseas ambassador duty, we are looking for a new volunteer to help out once in every four weeks.  Please contact the undersigned or Dominic Morgan if you can help.

Defibrillator

The Club Defibrillator is located in the Dressing Room to the left side and is in full working order.  The Defibrillator has recently been upgraded and we are very appreciative to Paul who organised this on our behalf.

Facilities

You may notice that the programme of improvements around the Club and grounds has commenced.  Now that the building work of our new neighbor has been completed we can finalize the finishing at the All Weather area.  The trees and shrubs along the side wall have been cut back this week.  This will facilitate the installation of upgraded lights for training purposes. The next step will be the improvements to the driveway and car park area which are planned to be undertaken over the next few weeks.  Thanks to all who have supported this improvement work.

The painting inside the Clubhouse is also scheduled to commence in the next week and the overall refresh should make the Club more welcoming.  The plans to upgrade the heating system are also in progress and we are working through the compliance requirements of the grant allocation received to complete this work.

All Ireland Football Final

While there is no Dublin team through to the Minor or Senior final on Sunday next, we have a (very) small number of tickets for the Member raffle on Thursday night.  All fully paid up members in attendance in the Clubhouse on Thursday from 10pm are eligible to take part.

Dublin Ladies

While we have Donegal v Kerry to look forward to this weekend, don’t forget the Ladies who are asking for support from all Dubs fans:
