Just a brief update this week due to holidays!

Adult games
The intermediates had a comprehensive win over St Marks in the Division 3 league on Saturday evening ensures that the team are still in contention for a play off place for promotion.  It was an opportunity to put up a good score to improve the points difference and the 23 converted score certainly did that.

On Sunday in Clontarf, the minors played their first game in the hurling championship round robin.  After a slow start, they came into the game and achieved a draw following some good battles around the pitch.

This game was followed by the Junior game which saw Portobello come out on top by 2 points.

Next Saturday it’s a Division 4 hurling league game away to Faughs in Tymon North.  Then on Sunday, it’s Minor football championship in Clontarf at 11am v Ballinteer St Johns.  Support very welcome.

Boot Bank
Great response from Members with donations to the Boot Bank over the past few days.  Don’t forget if you’re clearing out to pass on any boots that are in good condition.  They will be recycled and put to great use by members.

Juvenile Games
Under 15 B Hurling Championship Semi final: Scoil 2-10 Raheny 4-8
The Under 15s played their hurling championship semi final in St Annes on Sunday morning.  Raheny started strongly and built up a good lead but our team never gave up and worked their way back into the game following some hard work and well taken score.  However it wasn’t to be and the lads gave their supporters plenty to be proud of.  It’s back to the league playoffs shortly as they plan on working to keep their unbeaten run intact.  Next week it’s A football championship with an away trip to Portmarnock.
