We’re back with a ‘bang’ this weekend as Juvenile Boys and Girls fixtures re-commence following the summer break – best of luck to all teams!
Adult games
A hard fought victory on Saturday evening in Malahide, keeps the intermediates in the promotion play off places with just 3 games remaining. While the winning margin was just 2 points, there were some heroic performances by the Sylvester defenders and the upright and cross bar to keep the Scoil forwards from converting many goal chances. Next game is on 6th September v St Marks at 6pm in Clontarf.
The Juniors game was postponed on Sunday as their opponents were playing a championship game. Their next game is on Sunday 7th September at 10.30am v Portobello in Clontarf.
The hurlers welcome Lucan Sarsfield to the Club on Saturday evening for the Division 4 league game. Throw in is at 6pm and support is very welcome for this important game.
Nursery / Naoinra
The Scoil Naoinra / Nursery is also back in action this weekend with the Coaches ready for existing and new Members. We’re delighted with our partnership with Nolans’ Supermarket and you might notice the new signage at the Nursery meeting place. Don’t forget to spread the word about our enclosed grounds, qualified coaches and on-site facilities where parents can stay close to the young players while also enjoying tea / coffee. Juvenile Games
Under 15 Hurling B Championship Ballinteer St John’s 0-12 Uí Chonaill/Fontenoy 3-8
The combined hurlers of Scoil and Clanna Gael showed great determination to win their championship quarter final on Sunday in Nutgrove. A very positive 2nd half display with some excellent team work and a very high work rate ensured that scoring chances were created and converted. From Dean in goal, Andy at full back and Daragh & Robert taking some excellent scores the win was secured. Next up is Raheny in the semi final on 7th September (Venue TBC).
Under 13 hurling – the league game fixed for Tuesday evening was conceded by Parnells.
