New Club Website!

We’re delighted to announce the launch of the new Club Website at www.scoilgaa.com

The website has been designed and developed by Donncha Fenton star corner forward on the Division 3 football team and a native of Kerry.  A big thank you to Donncha who has put in a huge amount of work to ensure that the Club is accessible to everyone on the internet and we’re particularly happy with the mobile capability.  New features have been added to the website and we will continue to work on building more content to keep all members, friends and GAA fans up to date.  Why not check out the website and if you have any suggestions / feedback we’d love to hear them.  The address again is www.scoilgaa.com

Adult games

The ladies football team played Kilmacud Crokes this evening in the semi final of the junior championship.  The girls had beaten Kilmacud earlier in the competition but it was a different visiting team that arrived in St Annes for this game. The Scoil girls put in a fantastic performance against a very strong Kilmacud team and were disappointed to lose out having shown great spirit and determination.  Great effort and skill throughout the team with Emma Smith leading by example and deserving of the MVP award.  Well done to all concerned including the players, managers, coaches and supporters.  Looking forward to the next championship!

The hurlers travelled to Tymon North on Saturday to play  St Judes in the Division 4 league game.  This was always going to be a tough game and the home team were on top throughout to finish worthy winners.  Next up is a home game v Lucan Sarsfields on Saturday 30th August.

It’s Adult football league games next weekend, with both teams playing away.  On Saturday the Division 3 team head to Malahide while on Sunday it’s a trip to Clondalkin for the Division 8 team.  Both teams are pushing for promotion play off places so your support would be much appreciated.

Juvenile Games

Under 15 Hurling Naomh Olaf 2-3 Scoil Uí Chonaill / Fontenoy 2-17

The combined hurlers of Scoil and Clanna Gael continued their unbeaten run in the Division 2 league with a comprehensive win in Sandyford last Thursday evening.  While the lads got off to a a slow start in their first game since the summer break, they played their way in to the game to secure the win.  Some excellent performances particularly in midfield with Eoin McKay and Daragh Levins well on top of their opponents along with some excellent scores from Robert Kennedy.  In defense, Conor Ennis, Conor Farelly and Sam Callan all played their part while Dan Breen wins the vote for Man of the Match.  With only one league game remaining, the playoffs for promotion to Division 1 will be the next target for this hard working and skilful combination.

Clubhouse

The clubhouse is open every Thursday night for Members from c 9pm  Darts and snooker are always on the go while there is always a game to be dissected and analysed at the bar.  All are welcome to drop by.
