Adult games

The ladies football team travelled to Swords on Monday to play their league fixture versus the combined St Finians & Ballyboughal teams which was switched from Wednesday due to Leaving Cert Results.  A very strong performance ensured the win which saw the return of some more experienced players to the team following holidays.   The championship game is scheduled for Wed 20th at 7.15pm in Clontarf and support would be greatly appreciated for this game.

The hurling championship game was played this evening in Clontarf which resulted in a comprehensive win over Good Counsel 3-13 to 0-5.  Scoil were on top throughout the game which saw some well taken scores and excellent defending.  Goals from Andy Bunyan (2) and Joe Ryan sealed the win while there were some well taken long range points also.  Score of the game was a point on the left side from a tight angle from Joe Ryan which was followed by a point from sub Michael McCluskey with one of his trademark finishes.  Special mention also for Barry Cushen who deferred his Leaving Cert celebrations until after his goal keeping and free taking!  Next up is a league game v St Judes on Saturday in Tymon North at 6pm

On Saturday last, the adult men enjoyed a ‘team building’ trip to an adventure centre.  Well done to Alan Cronin for taking the initiative to organize the event.  Check out a photo from the trip at; https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scoil-Ui-Chonaill/121763621261565
