Best Sporting Moment
Without a doubt being a member of the Dublin Senior football team in 2018/2019. To be part of the greatest team to play the game is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. I have to mention the penalty shootout win against Meath in the O’Byrne Cup semi-final, that was some buzz and great to see so many members at the game afterwards.
Any Advice to the club’s Younger players:
Practice, practice, practice. Aim to be the best you can be. And never give up. Like most kids, I dreamt of playing for Dublin and little did I know I’d be 28 before that happened.
Thank you Andy for your inspiring interview it’s true to say that Andy is indeed a mighty player and club legend on and off the pitch. #Up Scoil!
Team Updates
Boys Under 13-16’s Teams
Lot’s happening virtually throughout the teams, Ronan Murphy explains that the teenage lads had a great Talk, Questions & Answers Session with Ollie Baker, former Clare hurler. Another successful online event followed, with guest speaker Michael Daragh McCauley, former Dublin Senior Footballer.
Thanks to Johnny Bowden for giving his time over the last 3 weeks, kickboxing proved very popular indeed with the lads.
Scoil Hoppers
Weekly Scoil Hoppers Nursery continues on-line, great to see so many Hoppers having fun and taking part in the Art Contest.
GPO Back to School
Thomas Gleeson, Games Promotions Officer, busy as usual, running coaches courses, and virtual training sessions for underage teams. Back to School too! for Thomas.. promoting Gaelic Games throughout the community for all age groups.
