Team News
U8 Boys
Our U8 boys started their go Games off with a strong display away to Finians in hurling last weekend. The boys showed great skills and really enjoyed getting in to the action
This Saturday, the take on Whitehall Colmcille at home. The very best of luck to our U8 are they navigate their journey through Go Games.
U11 Boys
Our U11 boys took on O’Dwyers in their first game of 2023 in hurling away. It was a competitive encounter for their opening match of 2023 but the boys showed great skill and determination.
For their second game, they hosted Na Fianna in Alfie Byrne Road. It was a great test of the boys football skills and they stood up to the challenge and battled to the end.
This weekend, they welcome Kilmacud Crokes for what promises to be a solid test of their hurling skills.
The very best of luck to all teams in their games this weekend.
U16 Boys
Our Under 16s went to double header at Croke Park after their hurling win over Naomh Olaf.
A few pizzas were consumed at the club before the lads walked into Croker.
It was fitting that the lads were there to see tribute to club legend Larry McVeigh (RIP) on the big screen.
Congratulations to Catarina Almeida and Ella Geraghty on making the Dublin Ladies U16 football panel.
Also, congrats to Andrea Chapman on making the U16B Development Panel.
Well done, girls!

Camogie News
U15 Camogie Team
The U15 Camogie team started their league campaign against a physical O’Dwyer’s on Saturday.
The match took place on a cold and windy Bells pitch in Balbriggan. It was a challenging opening match for the Scoil girls but after a good week of training they were determined to get off to a good start. Within a few minutes of the start Scoil were ahead when Aoife Curtin finished from close range following a great pass from Nessa Byrne. Scoil continued to apply pressure on the opposition and were four goals to a point in front at the half time break.
The second half followed the same pattern as the first, with Scoil going on to win 8-1 to 0-1 in difficult conditions. Strong overall team performance with some effective interplay. Some noted performances included Alice Walley in goal, who made a number of fine saves, and Niamh Kavanagh who battled strongly throughout the game. Both girls haven’t missed a training session in the past 2 months and were sharp throughout the game.
U13 Camogie
Scoil Girls u13s team played their first camogie grading game of the year away to Shankill on the 26th of February 2023.
After a warm up match against St. Vincent’s the week before the girls travelled in great form…
The game was played in great conditions and spirit and an excellent referee, who guided both teams through the whole match.
The Scoil girls showed great skills from the start having worked really hard in the last 12 months. It is great to have another 20 or so girls coming through from Go Games playing camogie for scoil.
Unfortunately, at the end, Shankill won and while both teams got the same number of fine scores, goals win games. Hopefully, next time we get the bounce of the sliotar and the efforts that hit the crossbar or went narrowly over will go in the right side .
The next camogie game sees us at home to Setanta at 1.30pm on March 12th and all support will be welcome.
Minor Camogie Team
Following on from the camogie meeting towards the end of last year, we have joined forces with Craobh Chiaráin to form our Scoil Chiaráin Gaels Minor Camogie Team.
The girls have played two matches, coming out on top in their first. At the weekend, they faces very tough opposition in our very near neighbours, Clontarf. Clontarf proved too strong for the girls on the day but the determination and battling to the end was fantastic to see.
It is great that our young ladies are playing competitive camogie at Minor Level and we wish them continued success in the coming months ahead.
U8 Camogie
On Saturday afternoon, some of our U8 girls played in the half time game between Dublin Senior Camogie and Tipperary Senior Camogie game in Parnell Park.
It was great to see the club colours in action in the half time display. Well done to the grils, their coaches and their parents.
Huge Congratulations to Orlaith Benham and Nessa Byrne who played with the U14 camogie Development Squad blitz at Marley Park.
U14 squads finished up session 2 with 2 weekends of blitzes. They break now for the league and will have session 3 coming into the summer.
Well done girls

Famous GAA Quote
“Setanta Ó hAilpín….the original Setanta from the old Gaelic stories was ten foot tall, had ten fingers on each hand and ten toes on each foot but even he couldn’t be playing better hurling than his namesake here today.”
