Scoil Golf Society
The revival of the Scoil golf society last year was well received.
So, once more into the breach… this year’s first outing will be in the superb Carton House Maynooth on Friday 25th March. Tee times provisionally booked from 10.00am to 11.30am. Indicative cost for golf/prizes/food is €90. This includes a donation to a charity which is a stipulation of the booking.
In order to gauge interest can people indicate if they intend playing by contacting Eltin at scoiltreasurer@gmail.com before Friday 21st January 2022 please.
No money necessary at this stage, we just need to ascertain level of interest and hopefully confirm the booking.
Scoil Notices
The club wishes to extend our condolences to Patrick Healy and the Healy family on the recent death of Patrick’s dad Tadhg.
Tadhg, passed away peacefully at his home on 10th January, 2022, in the loving care of his family after a long illness, bravely borne.
Tadhg was The Former Secretary General of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands and a keen cyclist. Upon retirement, he was presented with miniature bike to symbolize his love for cycling – he cycled to work everyday. He always had the Irish Times and during his working life some other documents under his arm. The Times was read cover to cover daily and he would present various cut-outs to his children that he felt would be of interest to them.
Patrick coaches our U12 boys team and his 4 sons, Darragh, Eoghan, Shane and Liam all play for the club for the U13, U12, U10 and U8 teams.
