Most memorable achievement: Earning a starting jersey for the Dublin minor hurlers.
Advice you would give to any young player: Focus on practice, preparation and consistency

Camogie News
The U15 camogie team have been going well in the league.
We had a relatively disappointing Féile but we’ve done well in the league since then.
We’ve beaten Beann Eadair, Trinity Gaels and St Marks in the last few weeks. Beann Eadair and Trinity Gaels beat us in the Féile, so nice to get some revenge….
We are top of the league with one game to go.
Next week the girls face Plunketts in what will be no doubt a tough encounter.
Best of luck to the girls.
Our Leinster Hero’s Visit Scoil
We were delighted to welcome many of the U16 Dublin Ladies Team to Scoil on Thursday, 25th May.
The cup accompanied them on the evening – much to the excitement of all the boys and girls. The ladies assisted the coaches with the training sessions – not everyday you can say that you had Leinster Champions training you at your training session!
Huge Thank You to the girls for giving up their time so willingly and to Alex and Daria Chapman for coordinating the evening for our young players.

Scoil Ui Chonaill 2-10 St Maurs 1-13
A cracking game of football last week on a sunny Tuesday evening in the club. Scoil started well and created a number of goal chances but couldn’t finish them. Some well worked points gave Scoil the lead but Maurs bounced back with a well taken goal. Maurs led 1–5 to 0-6 at half-time.
Maurs started the better in the second half and hit three unanswered points to lead by 6 points with 20 minutes to go. Scoil then got a brilliant goal, finished to the net by the lively Conor Maher. This was added to by a couple of points by Alan Murphy to leave the sides level with ten to go.
A clash between Fionn Daly and Maurs centre back led to both players going off as a precaution. The loss of Fionn galvanised Scoil with an impressive last ten with Tiernan Browne hitting an excellent goal to leave Scoil two points up with five to go.
Alex Courtney had an excellent second half as sweeper while Rafa Almeida was solid at centre back. Conal McCartaigh got on top of the good Maurs full forward. Nathan Oates made some timely blocks to deny points while Alex Kelly made a number of direct runs at the goal. Addi Ayadi scored a spectacular point that mighty, it satisfy the purists.
Scoil had chances to win the game in the final minutes but a draw was probably a fair result with two well matched teams played in great spirit.
O’Connell’s Nursery
The Clubs Inner City Nursery at O’Connell’s school every Saturday continues to grow. It is brilliant to see the young girls and boys in the club colours and playing hurling, football and fun games each week.
A number of the girls and boys have migrated to teams as the club continues to build on the work undertaken at our schools in the inner city by Thomas Gleeson our brilliant Games Promotion Officer.
The nursery is a real reflection of the multicultural community that our club is now. We are looking for a few volunteers to assist which coaching for 60 minutes each week from 12-1pm on Saturdays.
Please contact Ronan Murphy 0879295105
Anniversary
It was 37 years since Scoil won its second Men’s Senior Football championship on the 23rd May, 1986.
Scoil beat Thomas Davis 0-9 to 0-1 in the last Dublin Senior football championship to be played at Croke park.
The club then represented Dublin in the Leinster championship with a number of our players involved with the county at that time.
Only 28 clubs in the county have won a Senior A Men’s football championship with 11 of those clubs not in operation anymore. #proudofourpast
